The ConnectRetarget PowerPixel is based on your own Facebook Retargeting Pixel (from your Facebook Ads account).

This means that if you have not yet created a Facebook Pixel inside your Facebook Ads account, you will not be able to select a Pixel inside ConnectRetarget as well.

The solution is to create a Pixel inside your Facebook Ads account first, before creating your ConnectRetarget pixel.

How to recognize this issue?

If this is the case for your Facebook Ads account, you'll either get A) an error message when generating your PowerPixel, or B) when creating your audience, the Facebook Pixel ID will show as empty:

Step 1: Create your Facebook Pixel

  1. Go to your Facebook Pixel tab in the Facebook Events Manager.
  2. Click Create a Pixel.
  3. Enter a name for your pixel. You can have only one pixel per ad account, so choose a name that represents your business.
  4. Check the box to accept the terms.
  5. Click Create Pixel.

Step 2: Create your PowerPixel

Once you've created your Facebook Pixel, you'll be able to create your PowerPixel for that specific Facebook Ads Account.

Note: If you already created a PowerPixel before you created your Facebook Pixel, please delete your existing PowerPixel (inside ConnectRetarget), and re-create a new PowerPixel.

In case you have multiple Facebook Ads accounts, you'll need to repeat the steps above for each account.
